Philosophy:
I truly consider it a privilege to be invited to be a part of your journey, whether you are simply looking for practical solutions to a problem, wanting to learn new skills for living, or seeking to grow and develop in a deeper way who you are as a person.  Essentially, the foundation of what I do consists of three components:  (1.) Teaching you a wide variety of concrete, practical tools and strategies that can help you become your own counselor, in order to be happier and more effective in your life; (2.) Helping you find and develop the Wise, Strong, Compassionate Part of yourself in order to take care of the parts of yourself who may experience insecurity, anxiety, sadness, shame or anger; (3.) If you desire, helping you connect with a source of love and light, also known as God or Spirit.  I love helping people become free to live out of who they were designed to be so they can carry out their mission on earth.

Personal:
I am married, have two adult children, a son-in-law, and two grandkids.  Prior to becoming a counselor, I've been a director of a Preschool/Day Care Center, a piano teacher, and a full-time Mom. Some things I love to do are hiking in nature, singing and playing the piano, gardening, and I get particularly charged up about learning new things.
